We just closed on our first place last weekend and finally have all the goods moved in. We cant wait to get everything in place, start painting and making changes. I snapped a few photos with my Iphone before we moved all of our stuff in. Sorry that the quality isn that great, but I feel they are necessary to share. :)
Above is our living room built in. It is one of my favorite pieces of the place. Oh, and the floors. Aren’t they a dream?!
Master bedroom and bathroom.
The looooooong hallway. This photo is snapped from just inside the front door. I have some fun ideas brewing for this space.
The kitchen. This space is going to involve a lot of painting in it’s near future. We plan on a big rehab eventually. Unfortunately that is not an option at the moment. One of our first projects here is getting new appliances and painting out the cabinets, walls, and maybe even the floors (eep!)!
Breakfast nook right off of the kitchen. You can see it at the very end of the first kitchen photo.
Our very own little piece of the outdoors <3. This is what actually sold us on the place. It is so rare for Chicago condo living to have this much outdoors space. So we jumped at the chance. We have already managed to have two BBQs and plant some flowers. Update photos are to come!
Photos missing are the 2nd bedroom, 2nd bathroom and the dining room. I will update soon of some progress shots with all of our stuff moved in. I will also have a floorplan of the space so things will start making more sense. :)
Its no secret, that I have a little bit of a thing for wooden accessories (see here and here), but I’m undecided about these little guys. Are wooden neckties a fashion statment, a bit comical or both??
I will say that its quite a piece of work on its own, but on…Im just gonna say, not so dapper.
